With Ewan McGregor we have brought strong reinforcement on board. The actor is an enthusiastic Volkswagen fan with his own vintage car collection, one of which he has electrified himself. As a long-time UNICEF UK Goodwill Ambassador, he campaigns for charitable causes all around the world. This makes Ewan the perfect partner for a common mission: to make future mobility more sustainable.

Design: Revolution not evolution
We had the unique opportunity to reinvent the legendary Volkswagen Bus. And we seized it with the ID. Buzz. To bring its iconic design into the age of electric mobility, we have reinterpreted it with the characteristic design DNA of the ID. models. A style-defining feature is the flowing silhouette with its flat and elongated roof line, running from front to rear. Compact proportions and a small turning circle ensure great everyday usability, allowing the ID. Buzz to manoeuvre dynamically through the streets despite its dimensions.
Sustainability: a great idea down to the last detail
The ID. Buzz has been reimagined from the ground up: all-electric. And above all: sustainable – from its net carbon-neutral production and delivery to its use. That's why our certified Volkswagen Naturstrom offering ensures that you can enjoy locally CO2-free driving as soon as you get your vehicle. And in addition to the extensive use of recycled materials for the seat covers and decorative headlining, for instance, the absence of animal leather throughout the interior shows that developing sustainable products is all about holistic solutions.
Space concept and technology: freedom reconnected
The powerful ID. Buzz makes room for a whole new use of the space. And some of our most advanced technologies are also at work in the spacious interior of the ID. Buzz. For example, the innovative ID. Light, which communicates visually with the driver. Or over-the-air updates, that allow you to update features and functions. Via Car2X communication, the ID. Buzz can also receive real-time traffic-related information. With over 30 assistance systems the ID.Buzz is taking a big step towards semi-automated driving.

Travel Assist with swarm data
Keeps you on track – and the others at bay
Travel Assist with swarm data can keep you in lane, the distance to the vehicle ahead, and the maximum speed you set. Travel Assist makes use of adaptive lane guidance, which actively keeps the vehicle in the centre of the lane. The feature also actively supports you on the highway when changing lanes, if desired. In addition, Travel Assist can use swarm data to adapt the vehicle speed to applicable speed limits as well as road layouts (curves, traffic circles, etc.).
Charging
Battery charging – as simple as it is professional
With the ID. Buzz you not only drive climate-consciously, but also more flexibly. The maximum charging power for fast charging (DC) is up to 170 kW, so the battery can be charged from 5 to 80 percent in just about 30 minutes at a fast charging station with the appropriate charging power.
Over-the-air updates
All features up to date
Software updates increase the functionality of the digital systems in your ID. Buzz. These can be regularly updated and optimized thanks to over-the-air updates via We Connect contract. The over-the-air updates are downloaded in the background via the cellular access of your ID. Buzz. As soon as an update is available, a message will appear in the infotainment system and you will be guided through the steps to installation.
Modern lighting that communicates with you
A large part of the likeable appearance of the ID. Buzz is the modern lighting design. As soon as you approach the vehicle with the car key, in conjunction with the optional Keyless Access locking and starting system, its optional LED matrix headlights swivel electrically from bottom to top and light up – a friendly "eye blink" to greet you. The interactive ID. Light welcomes you with a light signal and a discreet sound.
Infotainment
Welcome to the digital world
Digital cockpit, Internet connection, mobile online services and integrated voice control – in the new ID. Buzz, you can expect state-of-the-art technology at a high level. Conveniently transfer music, audio books or news from your smartphone via App-Connect to the optional up to 30.5 cm (12-inch) touch colour display of the infotainment system, with which you can operate numerous functions such as the DAB+ radio.
