Little Blue Heroes with another Big Bust!

We were delighted to welcome our friends from the Little Blue Heroes Foundation again. Five amazing young honorary members of An Garda Síochána came to the Joe Duffy BMW Showroom to investigate a series of robberies at the dealership. The group prepared for their raid and investigation out in front of the showroom by receiving a debrief of the situation, testing their equipment, and developing a strategy by speaking with higher ranking officials.

The Little Blue Heroes Tactical Team then entered the building looking to seek out the perpetrators. The team swept through the ground floor of the showroom when all of a sudden one member of the team spotted the thieves through the window. The team couldn't believe their eyes. The two of them, carrying a tyre, likely stolen from the service department. They were caught in the act, almost. The criminals turned and ran around the side of the building out of site. The Little Blue Heroes Tactical Team chased after them but once they got around the corner, the two were gone. Once the team saw that they had ran past a 'No Access' sign, they knew they weren't dealing with just any ordinary criminals. These two were reckless, and possibly very wild.

The team went back inside and saw the thieves again, this time they split up. The tall one ran upstairs and escaped, while the other one ran toward the service centre. He ran through the garage while the team were in hot pursuit. Alas, they had escaped again.

The team decided to change tactics and, instead of chasing the two criminals, let the criminals come to them. The Little Blue Heroes team set up a checkpoint going out of the dealership checking every car that came in or out.

Eventually, they came across a 5 Series Touring. All of the driver’s documentation checked out, but when they opened the boot one of the thieves let out a cry from inside, ''You've got me!'' he shouted, ''I'll never do it again!'', he cried. Two members of the Tactical team slapped the cuffs on him. The arresting officers then brought him to the Garda car and bundled him in the back. A job well done, but there was still one missing: the tall one.

Suddenly, from behind them, they heard, ''You'll never catch me, copper!'' as the tall one ran from out of the Motorrad showroom and hopped straight on to a bike, trying to escape. Two of the tactical team pounced straight into action, grabbing him by the wrists before he could even get the bike going. ''NOOOOOO!'' he cried out, ''WHYYYY!''. The officers got the handcuffs ready to put on him, ''Mind the watch.'' he said, arrogantly. ''You won't need it where you're going.'' said the senior officer and took it off him. ''I'll be out, and I'll do it again!'' said the thief as they piled him into the back of the squad car. When they closed the door, they heard scream come from inside the car, as the tall one had accidentally sat on the handcuffs, completely tightening them.

After they were taken away, the Little Blue Heroes were rewarded with sandwiches, drink, snacks and Manhattan popcorn, a well-deserved treat for saving the dealership.
